Becca Bruce is a
licensed real estate agent representing both tenants and landlords in office,
multifamily and retail.
In addition to her work at Southwest Strategies, Ms. Bruce is the principal
of Vacri Development Inc., which assists primarily nonprofit organizations
in developing affordable housing.
Ms. Bruce has more than nine years of experience in affordable housing finance
and development, with an emphasis on helping nonprofits obtain financing.
Her areas of expertise include obtaining, closing and coordinating compliance
of all financing; land or building acquisition; working with clients to
select development team members; obtaining appropriate zoning; and overall
project management.
Ms. Bruce holds a master’s degree in community and regional planning
from the University of Texas’ School of Architecture and a bachelor’s
from Colby College in Waterville, Maine. She was selected as one of 55 members
for the 2003-04 class of Leadership Austin, an organization founded to identify
and prepare leaders for positions of public and private decision making,
to foster community involvement and to exercise civic responsibility. Ms.
Bruce currently serves on the Board of GENaustin, (Girls Empowerment Network
of Austin) and is a member of the Young Women’s Alliance of Austin.
