Public Agency Consulting
Southwest Strategies Group has been providing cities, school districts,
utilities, state agencies and airport authorities with real estate consulting
services for more than 15 years. Clients have included the City of Austin,
Austin Independent School District, Texas State Department of Transportation
and the Texas Transportation Authority.
Services to these clients have included acquisition planning, evaluation
of potential sites, communication and public relations, negotiation and
relocation services (under the Federal “Uniform Act”), title
review and coordination of transaction closings.
Our most recently provided title review and relocation support for right-of-way
acquisition in connection with a new 90 mile toll road, State Highway 130.
Over the years, our company has acquired almost 100 separate parcels for
the City of Austin’s Neighborhood Housing and Conservation Department,
and 12 separate school sites for the Austin Independent School District
as part of a $390 million bond program. One of the school sites required
the assembly of more than 40 parcels and the relocation of more than 20
households.
